Neighbourhood Watch Week
Neighbourhood Watch Week 2019 – Connecting our Communities
Did you know that every week one in four Australians report feeling lonely?
Neighbourhood Watch Week aims to improve community connection, create safer, more secure Territory neighbourhoods and prevent social isolation and loneliness.
There are several ways you can get involved with Neighbourhood Watch Week and connect with your community!
Host Your Own Event
You can host your own Neighbourhood Watch Week event and invite your community together to connect, share information and build relationships. Hosting your own event doesn’t have to be time consuming or hard work – events can be as simple as coffee on the curb with your neighbours. We will provide you with an event pack which will include event invites and promotional resources, a grocery voucher to cater your event, information on community connection and best practice crime prevention and Neighbourhood Watch Week merchandise to distribute.
Register your event here and be entered into a prize draw.
Neighbourhood Watch Week Competitions
Two competitions will be held during Neighbourhood Watch Week – a Neighbourhood Watch Week host draw and Capture your Community, a chance for you to promote your community and win some awesome prizes. Simply take a photo with your neighbours or people in your community and upload to Instagram with the hashtag #connectingtheNT
Community Connection Resources
Neighbourhood Watch NT have created some helpful resources for you to get to know your neighbours and connect with your community year-round. Our Connecting our Communities brochure and Hey There Neighbour! resource are both available for easy download.
